SOP Studio

A rule nobody can train on is just a note. This is the trainable version.

Before — what the floor said
When the Valley Gas 2-inch fittings come in on the afternoon truck, do not put them away off the PO number. First check the heat-treat stamp on the body. Mixed lots are what kills a utility audit. If the stamp is missing or doesn't match the cert pack, hold the whole pallet in QC cage 2 and message Maria before anyone cycles it. Grave shift keeps putting them in A-14 because that's the old slot.
After — what a new hire can follow
1.Stage the pallet at RCV-D2. Do not scan to the PO yet.
2.Read the heat-treat stamp on the fitting body — not the box, not the packing list.
3.Match the stamp to the lot listed in the supplier cert pack traveling with the pallet.
SOP-014

Heat-treat verification before putaway — Valley Gas 2" fittings

Purpose

Keep unverified heat-treat material out of pick locations so the utility audit never finds a mixed lot in stock.

When this applies

Every afternoon-truck receipt of Valley Gas 2" carbon steel fittings (AF-2CS-SG) at RCV-D2.

Steps on the floor

  1. Stage the pallet at RCV-D2. Do not scan to the PO yet.
  2. Read the heat-treat stamp on the fitting body — not the box, not the packing list.
  3. Match the stamp to the lot listed in the supplier cert pack traveling with the pallet.
  4. If the stamp is present and matches: release to putaway against the PO.
  5. If the stamp is missing or does not match: move the whole pallet to QC-2 and text Maria. No partial release.
  6. Leave the pallet out of cycle count scope until QC clears it.

What good looks like

Stamp photographed, cert pack page matched, pallet either released or sitting in QC-2 within the same shift.

What to do when it fails

If it was already put away, pull it back from the slot, quarantine in QC-2, and log an exception against FX-014. Never adjust the system of record to make the count agree.
